2. Getting Started
Clone Voice Translator works a little differently from a standard text-to-speech site: instead of picking a stock voice, you create your own AI voice from a short recording, then use it to generate — or translate — speech. This section walks you through that first run.
2.1 Create an Account or Sign In
Open the menu using the button in the top-right corner of the page. From there you can Login if you already have an account, or Register to create one (registration opens on its own page). After signing in, open the Studio Dashboard from the same menu to begin.
- Free users can create a voice and generate short audio for testing and personal use.
- Pro and Business users get longer monthly limits, commercial usage rights, and additional features.
2.2 Create Your Voice
In the Studio Dashboard, click Create Custom Voice (under Quick Actions). Give the voice a name and record a short sample by reading the on-screen prompt aloud. For the best result:
- Record in a quiet room with minimal echo.
- Speak naturally, at your normal pace and tone.
- Read the full prompt so the AI captures enough of your voice.
Once saved, your new voice appears in Your Saved Clones and becomes available in the voice selector. You can create more than one voice and switch between them anytime.
2.3 The Studio Dashboard
The Studio Dashboard is your main workspace. Key areas:
- Monthly Usage — shows characters used against your plan’s monthly limit.
- Generation Studio — a voice selector (your saved clones), a text box for your script, and the Generate Audio button.
- Your Saved Clones — fine-tune each voice with Stability, Similarity, and Style controls, and Preview, Save, or Delete a voice.
- Recent Audio — your latest clips, with a link to the full Audio Library.
2.4 Generate Speech
Pick one of your voices from the selector, type or paste your text into the box, then click Generate Audio. Clone Voice Translator produces the speech in a few seconds; you can play it on the page and find it later in your Audio Library.
For best results:
- Use punctuation (commas, periods) to control natural pauses.
- Avoid special symbols or emojis, which can affect pronunciation.
- Generate long scripts in sections for the most stable tone.
2.5 Translate, Then Speak (Optional)
To produce speech in another language while keeping your own voice, choose a target language next to the text box and click Translate. The text is translated in place — review it, then click Generate Audio to hear it spoken in your cloned voice.
2.6 Find Your Audio
Every generated clip is saved to your Audio Library (open it from the menu or the Recent Audio panel). From there you can play, download, or — on a paid plan — get an embed snippet to place the player on your own site.
