7. Voice Cloning
Voice cloning is the heart of Clone Voice Translator: instead of using a stock voice, you create your own AI voice from a short recording and then use it to generate — and translate — speech.
7.1 Creating a Voice
From the Studio Dashboard, open Create Custom Voice under Quick Actions. In the dialog:
- Enter a name for the voice (for example, “Podcast Host” or “Narration”).
- Read the on-screen prompt aloud and use Start Recording to capture your sample.
- Listen to the preview, then save the voice.
For the best clone quality, speak naturally for a sustained sample — a few clear sentences at your normal pace and tone.
7.2 Saved vs. Temporary Voices
Paid plans let you keep permanent voices that stay in your account. On the Free plan you can try voice creation, but voices are temporary and are not retained long-term. The number of voices you can save depends on your plan — see Subscriptions & Plans.
7.3 Managing Your Voices
Saved voices appear under Your Saved Clones in the Studio Dashboard. There you can:
- Preview a voice to hear how it sounds with its current settings.
- Adjust Stability, Similarity, Style, and Speaker Boost, then Save.
- Delete a voice you no longer need. If you’ve reached your plan’s voice limit, deleting one frees a slot for a new voice.
